About Digital Modeling Contest
Since 2006, the Japan Society for Graphic Science has been sponsoring the Digital Modeling Contest. The contest aims to spread fundamental technologies for inspiring the creation of three-dimensional mechanisms and objects in new innovative environments led by additive manufacturing (3D printers).
Award-winning works of past contests built using additive manufacturing and 3D model data are exhibited in the venues of the autumn conferences of the Japan Society for Graphic Science. The intent of entries and their modeling processes are introduced in Japanese at the society's website.
